Dobbs Ferry Performing Arts offers a variety of programs and lessons in all instruments with qualified, talented and dedicated teachers. They also offer the following programs for adults and children:

Musical Theater Workshop

This Workshop is a 12-week program specially designed to develop your style
and craft through song and acting. This workshop will show you how to give strong,
confident, and consistent performances by honing in on your unique personality. And
of course, the driving force of this program is FUN!

Broadway and film Singer/Actors, Karmine Alers Greco and Yassmin Alers, share a unique
personal perspective into the art of becoming the ultimate performer. They are most known for
their solid run on Broadway in the hit show "RENT", and have solidified their careers on the
Great White Way in many other shows including "The Who's Tommy", "AIDA", "The Rocky
Horror Show" and more.

PROCESS/WHAT TO EXPECT:
-Each week you will bring in a song of your choice- all genres: theater, pop, R&B etc. (Song
suggestions can also be made if needed)
-You will begin by working on your vocal technique and delivery, then explore the emotional
arc (or journey) of a song using many professional performer techniques.
-A mock audition will be held after several sessions in a safe and supportive environment to help
you prepare for the "real world".
-You will also be given advice in the business of YOU. This covers everything from headshots,
resumes, song selections, wardrobe, and audition presentation.
Additionally, top professionals in the field will be invited to guest speak and participate in Q&A’s
and classes.
At the end of workshop, each students will showcase 2 songs for friends and family at the
beautiful Stolen Moments Theater: 39 Cedar St. Dobbsferry, NY 10522
